Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in this small hotel (wonderful) and had a fantastic dinner (the restaurant is also open to the public) of totally fresh fish and matching Rias Baixas, Galician wines, especially a wonderful local regional Albariño and even more so a Godellos from Galicia. Lovely family staff. Great old stone-walled restaurant. The food wasn't "fancy" in it's presentation, but it was oh, so fresh and delicious. Just what you'd expect and hope for in a small seaside fishing village. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best meals I have had in Galicia. Absolutely delicious food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. True fresh Galician food, shellfish and catch up of the day. We all agreed that we would highly recommend this place, please try you won’t be disappointed

A gem of a restaurant, part of the hotel with an covered area outside overlooking the harbour. We started Calde, a cabbage and potato soup followed by perfectly cooked Percebes then a fabulous plate of mixed shellfish. The wait staff attentive and friendly. The owner was particularly helpful suggesting a particular white wine from Riberio that I had been searching for.

This restaurant is so popular and busy that it is necessary to book to ensure getting a table. The service is efficient, and the food excellent. There are fish on the menu that I have never heard of before, e.g. Black Whysse, which I can recommend, and is cooked in the oven with peppers, potatoes, onions. The food is typical Galician food. Te first course which was a mixture of clams, cockles, razor clams and mussels was also excellent, as was the wine.

Seems to be a popular restaurant though the time we had to wait for the waitress to take our order and then each course was very frustrating. No apologies and very brusque. while the food was tasty and reasonably priced so are many other places. Would try somewhere else next time

We ate here two nights on the go because we liked it so much the first time. The restaurant is in a hotel, and the food and wine are excellent. On our first visit, we had cod and sea bass. It came with potatoes and we ordered a side salad to share. The second night we had the huge seafood platter. This doesn't come with any sides so we ordered fries afterwards. The fish is top quality and so fresh, cooked perfectly. It was a delight. The seafood platter was fun and the standard of the shellfish was excellent also. The best clams I've ever had. The crab and barnacles weren't for me, but my husband enjoyed both. The only trouble with a large seafood platter like this is things get cold before you can get to them. There's also no sauces or sides so it really is just the shellfish. It's a bit like sitting on the beach picking them out of the water. In hindsight I'd prefer to have a few plates of seafood prepared as a dish rather than the huge platter. Like most places in Galicia, the wines are excellent here. The waitresses are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere is calm and sophisticated. It is popular with tourists mainly because of the hotel. It is priced very reasonably (the seafood platter was €50 and it is huge) especially considering the quality. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant meal in this restaurant, which is supposed to be the best in town. We were on a hiking trip and stayed in a half dozen small towns, and the food at this one was not special, it was one of the better ones on our trip!

This restaurant fills up quickly soon after it opens at 9 pm. This is not surprising as they serve delicious, fresh seafood from the local fishing port. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Hotel Puerto Arnela which is a lovely old historic stone building facing the port. We stayed at the hotel and highly recommend it. Reasonably priced rooms with nicely appointed and very clean rooms. The staff were very nice.

What a great little find and deservedly number one in this beautiful little village. The queen scallops are amazing and perfectly cooked. The swordfish à la plancha is some of the most tender and juicy I have ever tasted. Great friendly service perfect views over the coast what’s not to love about this place.

We recently returned from spending 20 days at this delightful small hotel on the beautiful Bay of Camarinas. This was on 6th stay at the hotel over several years and it remains one of the best bargains on the costa de morte. The owner/manager is constantly updating/renovating the hotel to make it a more pleasant and attractive place to stay. The food in the restaurant continues to be delicious and the entire staff makes one feel welcome - even those of us with (very) limited abilities in Spanish.
