Consistently good, Jazz Ria is a long established local favourite in Balwyn. Decor and ambience are ok, but it can get a bit noisy so not the location for a quiet dinner unless you go early. The rendang and curry and roti are very flavoursome and always good. Staff are very accommodating and will modify dishes to suit dietary requirements... More

I ordered a favourite Laxa to compare it with my regular Malay restaurant. This lacked something. It was quite pleasant but a little bland. It offered good lunchtime value for money and service was very speedy.

If you like good Malaysian food you must visit Jazz Ria. The menu offers all the classics and the serving sizes are generous. Friendly staff, small restaurant (booking is a must to ensure a table), public transport on the doorstep, on street parking, BYO Licence, reasonable prices.

Visited here with friends on a Thursday night it was busy but they were able to fit us in. The prawn toast was very tasty as was the green chicken curry. Reasonably priced I would come here again for a good value dinner.

I've been a frequent eater at this establishment...several years. The restaurant has a great ambience and fine and helpful staff. The menu has been consistent for all of the time we've been going. The last two visits however have left us a bit disappointed .we had the beef randang and kong Po prawns . There were two issues... 1. The... More

Appealing setting and menu filled with plenty of delights. Black Pepper Butter Chicken was something new to try and the thick flavoursome dish did not disappoint. Wasabi prawns and the subtle Rockling curry with vegetables were equally as good. Pleasant staff and would definitely return for another helping! Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Have rated at Jazz Ria a few times with a friend. We usually choose the banquet to save choosing ourselves. Never disappointed. Service is good and quick. Parking is easy and we have never booked, just walked in.

Really good. We went as a party of 4 and all dishes we good value esp. prawn, salt & pepper calamari, and rendang. I will go again and that has the best recommendation. It is BYO and we paid $75 for 2. It is Malaysian. Most dishes are in the low $20's
