My wife and I were looking after my Son and his Partners home in RCT ..for a week whilst they had there summer holiday in the Baleric island of Ibiza...so was a great opportunity to visit the Rhondda Valleys, and had a trip to Aberfan...memorial site,..after we were travelling back when we passed through quakers yard,Myrther Vale area,and came across this very inviting Pub restaurant, and we had Dinner ,lamb shank,and Chicken curry,which was well presented and very tasty,..Compliments to the Chef,amazing cuisine!! Highly recommend,Great Ambient atmosphere, and excellent Customer service, and know next time where to go for a value for money experience well done to the staff at the Glentaff Inn Grace and Gary..Southampton Hants.More

Amazing welcome as soon as we arrived, excellent service, friendly banter with the staff and a lovely atmosphere. The good was also fantastic and served piping hot and nice portion size too. Stunning views on the roof terrace overlooking the river, and I can't wait...to come back.More

I always said how brilliant it was until yesterday 16/7/23, arrived a 2:05 for 2:30 lunch , my daughter & her family came at 2:15 , my other daughter arrived at 2:33 only late because they were going around in circles for parking space, at...3:30 we weren’t even given menus, my son in law went and got them, there was 11 of us 7 adults 4children, at 4oclock my daughter went to ask could we be served, she was told we’d missed our time slot, never heard of so much rubbish , I’d been there from 2 , eventually at 4oclock they took our order,wish we never ever bothered, they obviously forgot about us, as the only things cooked right was the meat, only reason we stayed was my one daughter had travelled up from Newport,and it was a big birthday meal, never ever again.More

Our table was booked for half past 2, my mother and sister were there for twenty past and we arrived 5minutes late at 14:35. At 3pm we got up and got our own menus. We then had to ask to be served. At quarter past...4 our lunch still hadn’t arrived, there were 4 children in our party who were starving. I asked the waitress, )who I learnt afterwards was the owner) how long our food was going to be and her reply was that because we were late we missed our slot?!? Disappointed in the food we had two trays of veg and potatoes between 11 of us. We will certainly not be eating here again. There was no apology for our near 2hr wait either. People arrived after us and got service before us.More

Looked for child and dog friendly pub. This exactly fitted the bill. Indoor and outdoor seating,warm welcome, friendly staff, excellent choice of meals and drinks. Felt really comfortable and cosy. Must book for meals

8 ladies we meet up every month for food but we all enjoy a nice pudding,,we check the menus before we book.., food was excellent quality&served nice..puddings was amazing&again served lovely..staff were very welcoming&also the disabled toilets were amazingly clean,,we will definitely go back as...from the start too us leaving we were all 8 of us made too feel welcomed🫶and all 8 of us want too try all the desserts..highly recommend for families,friends,couples you won’t be disappointed 4 of us live local and one as said the Sunday dinner is amazing,,the other 3 have not been there since the new owners but will be going back with family/husbands xMore

What a wonder pub so warm and welcoming. We been coming here for a few months now and we brought our friends who enjoyed it also . The staff are fantastic but the food wow 🤩 I had the steak last night Saturday 14 April...I can honestly say it’s the best steak out i ever had . The pepper corn sauce was delicious to . All 4 of us cleanered our 3 courses. Highly recommend.More

I can’t believe that I haven’t been to this place before?! It’s about 3.5 miles from my house! Went there in heavy snowy conditions today… fantastic welcome, delicious food… very good wine at an unbelievable price. I’ll be going back there very soon!

First time in this friendly place. Ordered Sunday lunch and surprised we only had 2 roast potatoes each. Veg wasn’t great and although it was cheap I would rather have paid more for a fuller plate. Difficult to get to the bar because of locals...propping themselves up there. Apart from that staff were great.More
