Only one person serving bar and restaurant who seemed too busy. Asked one of us if we wanted something and took that as the answer for both, then rushed off. Sandwich was okay, the ham tasty but fatty and dry crusts on the doorstep bread....More
We have been here a few times and it gets better every time, one of the best pies I have eaten and my wife's fish and chips were excellent, bit of a gem.

Stopped for lunch yesterday, the first time we have been in for over 10 years: what a difference. A great welcome to a friendly atmosphere with excellent food and ale. We shall definitely call again.
Under new management recently I think. Very friendly staff, very reasonable, lovely atmosphere and possibly the best burger any of us had ever eaten!! The rest of the menu also looked delicious will definitely go back again.
