We called in on a very busy Easter Monday and were seated within 5 mins. Nice local pub and restaurant, casual and easy. The food was excellent, fantastic venison burger with salty goats cheese and sweet sticky caramelised onions...yum. Service was on point and pleasant, and finally the price was tremendous value for money.

Was looking for somewhere different to go on Easter Monday for a run out in the car & a meal for all the family. After a bit of searching I found the Maghera Inn and I'm so glad I did. Having checked it was wheelchair accessible, we booked for later on that day. When we arrived it was very busy... More

We visited recently having not been for a while. On arriving a glowing fire welcomed us on a cold / wet day. The bar staff greeted us & waitress arrived promptly to show us to our table. We chose from a good choice of dishes. We were surprised at how quickly our meals arrived & the portions which were ample... More

My husband and myself dropped into The Maghera Inn around 5.00pm after spending Easter Monday in Newcastle. The restaurant and bar were buzzing, extremely busy, we hadn't booked a table, but a very efficient lady showed us to a table, presented us with menus and told us there would be a 15 minute wait until someone could take our order.... Arrived on a friday with my wife for a drink and decided to have tea. Maghera Inn has never disappoints in our experience. Food and service great and Conor is a great barman. You are always made to feel welcome here by Hugh and Matthew.

We visited the Maghera Inn on Saturday night for an early dinner with family of ours who frequent it. A bustling atmosphere in a deceivingly large pub/restaurant welcomed us. Staff were lovely and eager to keep your drinks topped up! Food was delicious - good, hearty, tasty food was had. I had the special - monkfish and chorizo linguine with... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat on our return trip from Newcastle, found this place just a 5 min drive from dundrum, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, it had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the food was beautiful and reasonably priced. Will deffo be coming back next time we are up that way!

My husband and I were very lucky to get a table here at short notice, as I have always wanted to try the food, we had a wide choice of 3 courses which included 2 deserts each, ( which we were able to bring home with us ) the food was amazing , the setting was just right and the... More
