Hidden away off the main track this is a great find. A beautiful drive through the forest of the Correze and some exquisitely beautiful villages...ell sign posted form St Privat. A recently created gardens and restaurant with a shop selling very up market smelling stuff that the ladies seem to like. the food is excellent with a simple but more... More

You need to book as it is very popular. We were able to get drinks and snacks but the restaurant at the weekend was fully booked so not a full dinner-but i totally except that if a place is popular-you have to expect to book. The gourmet coffee with desserts was yum. The food being served around us looked scrum!... More

We visited in July 2016 with some friends and had an excellent meal. Everything was right - the service, the food, wine and drinks. It is in a beautiful setting and is surprisingly good value. Well worth the hour or so it took us to drive from the other side of Mauriac.

We arrived at 12:40 on a Saturday in late May, we were only the second car in the car park so expected to be able to have lunch. An extremely rude receptionist told us that in France one arrives for lunch before 12:30 so there was no chance of lunch! It was obvious that the real reason for the lack... More

We visited the restaurant at the recommendation of a local and what a find. The food was incredible and beautifully presented, the location delightful and the service fantastic (attentive, informative but unobtrusive) - it is now up there with my favourite restaurants. Superb. We will be back!!!

We visited the garden but left with fond memories of the restaurant - not that the garden was not great, it was, but the food blew us away. We all enjoyed the 34€ menu with wine flight which was delicious and came with an amuse bouche, pre-dessert and petit fours! Excellent value and very tasty food. A great end to... More

Highly imaginative cuisine, don't know how they do it for the money, must be subsidised. The fixed price (16€) daily menu must the be the best value you'll ever find in France for cooking of this quality. The setting is magnificent, try and get a table by the window if indoors. The service is charming, helpful and friendly. The gardens... More

Even as a non-gardener I found the gardens to be beautiful: serene and tranquil. They were complemented to perfection by the quality of the restaurant - wonderful food, thoughtfully presented.

Enjoyed the variety this garden had to offer. It is spread over large grounds so a walk around takes over an hour and there are longer walks available in the local vicinity. We were greeted by a charming receptionist and sheltered from the midday sun with umbrellas provided. I liked it the place. Worth phoning to be sure the restaurant... More

Although miles from anywhere this garden and restaurant are worth travelling to. Sothys is famous for its anti aging products and have invested ina themed garden within a beautiful natural woodland setting. One has a feeling that everything has been designed by a highly qualified architect with no expense spared, and this is also true of the highly professional landscaping.... More
