Went to a Scarf dinner at the Robert Burns Hotel. Atmosphere was great and the service very attentive. Limited menu for this dinner, I had Minted Tomato soup for entree and Rockling for main. Soup was good but Rockling was a very small serve of fish with not much taste. Would like to go again with full service menu.

I just returned from a meal in a Spanish restaurant in our home city and felt that I would have short changed Robert Burns Hotel if I did not review it. What we had paled against Robert Burn's delicious food. It was simply the BEST Spanish meal I have had in a long time. It even surpassed our favorite Tapas... More

The experience was good but with no real wow factor. Best thing might have been the slice of life number 86 tram to get there. What a great trip. The hotel setting doesn't do much for me. It's 70/80s but without retro lift. The croquettes were great but the seafood paella average at best. The wine list we were presented... More

We were served great Spanish cuisine without the stereotypical decor. The food was very good. We shared a paella. No one left hungry. Can't complain about the service, although it was a tad stiff at times. The bar staff did get distracted and had to be reminded to bring the beer after they had to change the keg. So there... More

The Robbie Burns offers a great lunch menu at a reasonable price. They have a great selection of beers (a bit pricey, you can get cheaper in the area) plus a cute little courtyard outback.

Nice pub with wonderful hosts and staff! OK! I was only here for beers, but everything went so well, and they were so helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back, and also try the delicious sounding menu!

Best Spanish restaurant I've been so far in Melbourne. Great quality-price ratio and real friendly staff. Highly recommend the croquetas, garlic prawns and grilled chorizo for starters. Pork Belly and squid ink paella are spot on as well.

Comfortable environment, friendly and well informed staff, good food. All the starters were delicious, melt in the mouth croquettes, calamari and an awesome vegetable tart, delicious. With your taste buds now activated we were ready for the main(s), not one but two paella dishes, seafood and the rabbit and chicken, both beautiful. Sipping on a glass of red or an... More

Description
The Robert Burns Hotel is the home of truly traditional Spanish cuisine, with a very Scottish name. Spaniard Urbano Gutierrez introduced the Spanish flavour to this Australian pub in 1984, back when variety in the local hospitality market was much harder to find. The Robert Burns legacy has since been passed to a new, fresh, yet still Spanish team - who bring the authentic tastes and cultures of their homeland to the Robbie Burns on Melbourne's iconic Smith Street. Patrons of all kinds are welcome and our venue is family and kid-friendly, too. If you are looking for Spanish Cuisine then dine in the restaurant, relax in the courtyard, enjoy drinks and tapas in the front bar or the wine room, and don't forget to check out Robbie's special Spanish flavoured events.
