Stopped here for 2 nights. Nice and clean tidy room with a log burner and wet room. Although you need Stephen Hawkins to suss the shower out! ;-) Bar area was very nice with 4 well kept real ales. We ate there the first night...More

Visited for an evening meal 22nd July, ordered steak which came in a reasonable time, was cooked as requested and was tasty and tender. The pudding didn't arrive even after waiting 20 minutes, nor in the following 6 minutes I waited to pay, having given...More

The food is of good quality when they actually have what's on the menu, as of late when they are busy, many menu items aren't available, as they seem to sell out, which is a shame.

Second visit as the first was so good last year. Meat was tough, vegetables a sad affair plopped onto a side plate - potatoes were the only saving grace. Expensive for this quality of food. To add insult to injury, had to listen to bar...More

We recently enjoyed two excellent meals at Wilsons whilst staying nearby. The staff were friendly but the service was a bit patchy particularly on the Saturday evening when the restaurant was very busy. There was a good selection of food on the menu and the...More
