Ok, we lived in Staple Hill for 10 years and then in Kingswood and now in Emersons Green and throughout that time visited one of the other indian restaurants just down the road from Shadin, but, unfortunately, the other restaurant would seem to have gone off the boil of late! This week we had friends with us and we needed... More

We always enjoy food from shadlin but last night Batli turned in Biryani. Lamb Jalfrezi turning into Lamb tikka jalfrezi even thought I said no just lamb jalfrezi when he said tikka. It was sooo hot whereas the biryani was too mild as should have been a mixed meat balti. Hey guys what happened, this is not like you?

My favourite dish is the lamb sag. So tasty with the lamb melting in your mouth, yummy. Friendly staff and you can take your own drinks. Great menu, Also liking the chicken tikka korma and the onion bhajee's scrummy 🙂

Great flavours, nice variety and friendly staff. My usual choice is the madras, but the masala is a comforting favourite as well! If you like something a bit hotter, the vindaloo won't disappoint. If however you need to burn off some excess bravado, their phal sauce is here to help! The staff can help recommend dishes or alter things to... More

Me and 3 ladies went last night for a birthday curry, and every single one of us had a fantastic curry. The staff didn't bug us, let us take our time, were friendly and and offered good recommendations when we ask. The various rice's we had were the best I've had anywhere - could have eaten just the rice on... More

Having been a regular customer with my family for years we loved coming to the Shadin, laid back, good food and staff were nice....things have changed over the years regarding customer service though, which is off putting. When Andy was in the restaurant he was so polite and accommodating, and always welcomed us back. I find the team now are... More

I live in the local area and to be fair have been a few times and have enjoyed the food. So with high hopes I booked a recent works night out with friends to enjoy the cuisine. Perhaps they happened to be very busy that night but the food was quite substandard, bland, thrown together just not on par with... More

Andy and team make you very welcome indeed; they're incredibly polite but also treat you as a genuine friend... I usually order take away but occasionally dine in the premises... My favourite dish is Chicken Saag Pathia and Special Rice; I feel pretty virtuous ordering that one!! I've been a regular of Shadins for the last 19 years and wouldn't... More

Description
One of the first bring your own Indian restaurants in Bristol opened in the summer of 1997. Still going strong and getting more and more popular considering the competition in the area. We offer a free delivery service within a 3 mile radius as long as orders are over £12. We have limited seating so booking is always advised especially on weekends. What we endeavour to offer is good quality food, value for money with a warm and friendly welcome.
