My husband treating us to a Thursday night supper at the Bell & Crown Zeals. Once again John Harrington delivered fantastic food! My husband left the choice of steak and how it was cooked to John, I decided on the lamb rump, neither of us were disappointed, both the steak and lamb could have been cut with a spoon. The... More

8 of us had a meal at The Bell and Crown at Zeals recently and I would recommend it - good portion sizes, lovely food and very attentive staff.

Recently moved to the area, the Bell & Crown is only a few miles away. We have been there a couple of times now, we had dinner one evening during the week and the food was very good especially the scallops. We also went for Sunday lunch, the atmosphere was better because the pub was full, the sunday lunch was... More

We picked a in the middle location for our first date & picked this little pub. It wasn't busy in fact we where there alone until another couple turned up. But we made ourselves comfortable on the sofa by the open fire. And sat & chatted for what seemed an age. Memories that will last forever. Shame about the coffee... More

Arrived without a reservation late on a busy Sunday lunchtime and they were able to accommodate us. I could have eaten anything on the menu. I fancied it all. Ended up with a pheasant and duck casserole which was superb. The roast beef was finished and there were only two fish pies. We were happy with this because it always... More

My second meal at The Bell and Crown, I had the roast lamb with rosemary, cooked slightly rare and moist, the meal came with roast potatoes and 5 veg, and a huge Yorkshire pudding. For desert I have lemon and Lime cheesecake with ice cream, pleasant desert, just a rather small portion I must say. The Bell and Crown is... More

Met my sister and brother in law for a family Christmas lunch. Drove about 100 miles as this was approximately half way. Worth the drive. Food lovely and plenty of it. Would thoroughly recommend the Christmas Bread & Butter Pudding. Staff very attentive and friendly.

This is a rare find - a proper, old fashioned pub in the best sense of the word. I've been to eat here four times now and it's always been the same. Lovely staff and a nice little table near the fire. The menu is just what I look for in a pub - a great selection to chose from... More
