Good food, jacket potato was exactly what was required and it's nice that you can walk here from hanwood park. Do be careful where you sit in the cafe if you have a dog. We sat on an empty table, ordered food and it wasn't until after we had paid that they said we couldn't sit in the area the side of the food. They did let us sit there though in the end as there wasn't any alternative, but it was very awkward at the time.

Yesterday, Valentines Day, I booked one of their Special Afternoon Teas for Valentines, for me and my lovely Partner. The table was set with love hearts on the table cloth and napkins, and a red rose and heart-shaped balloon completed the scene. There was a tray of heart shaped sandwiches, in 4 flavours, 2 slices of red velvet cake, 2 fruit scones with jam and cream, sliced fresh strawberries, 4 small cup-cakes and several cups of hot drink. Nothing was too much trouble, it was a really lovely experience Thank You to all the staff at Seasons.

Just had lunch here and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were regular customers but hadn't been for a few weeks as trying out different venues.
Food today in particular was of a very high standard and due to intolerance, chef went out of his way to accommodate me.
The atmosphere in the cafe is very relaxed and we never feel rushed even when really busy.
Plenty of free parking.
Would highly recommend a visit.

Omg the food! Bacon roll x 2 and 2 x soft drinks £18! When queried the price was told the bacon roll is £7 because it comes with side salad and few crisp’s!!!!!! Who the hell puts a side salad and crisps with a breakfast bacon roll. It was the cheapest ingredients going……don’t waste your time in going !

Went to Seasons for lunch with a friend today, hadn't been there for ages. Both had cottage pie with veg. Well, the pie was ok but portion size is so small now to what it used to be. What was on the plate was mostly mash, very little mince and at £10 per meal I feel a little ripped off. Both of us commented later that we were hungry again, hadn't filled us up at all. Used to be a belly buster meal, now kiddies portions. Won't be visiting again in the near future!

Really not good at all, we hadn’t been for a long while as our last visit wasn’t good and as we are very local decided to give it another try we really wish we hadn’t!! I had cottage pie which arrived potato at the bottom with a tablespoon of diced carrots and mince - I’m being generous! covered in gravy. The only flavour was of pepper and it had very obviously been microwaved. My friend had lasagne which wasn’t much better. Drinks were expensive. It always used to be very busy with a lovely atmosphere and great food at a good price - now there’s no atmosphere, awful food at a high price because of quality, no customer service and very few customers. Definitely won’t be returning EVER.

This is the last time I will be eating here. The service is terrible and the food awful.
There’s a short, middle aged woman with tanned skin and tattoos who is one of the rudest servers I have ever met and I can say this having been served by her three times now. Very abrupt and service certainly not with a smile.
Ordered the broccoli and cauliflower bake, which came with salad and two slices of garlic bread. Asked for vege instead of the salad and garlic bread and was given two spoonfuls of anaemic looking peas and carrots. One tiny, tiny bit of cauliflower in the bake and shavings of broccoli. How it could be called a broccoli and cauliflower bake i do not know. Lacking taste.

Today 17 of us from our Close had Afternoon Tea in the Cafe in Seasons Garden Centre, Burton Latimer. Although we all meet in passing, it's lovely for us all to get together.
We were treated to a selection of at least 6 different types of sandwich, generously filled, a scone with jam and cream, and a selection of small cakes/gateaux. This all served with tea or coffee of our choice. It was brilliant. We have been to Seasons many times, and are always well looked after, so can't wait for our next visit in December for a 3-course Christmas Lunch.
A big thank you to Dawn and her staff

This place has gone seriously downhill, don’t know if it’s under new management since my last visit.
We arrived around 3:30pm, 4 adults, 1 child.
Mostly empty, seemed a lot of staff around.
Doing what I don’t know, as we struggled to find a clean table. In the end selecting one with the least mess & sweeping the crumbs away.
£49 for our food and drinks, seems expensive for the meagre portions provided. Used to be good quality food & generously portioned. Not so now.
The child was served last, which I always find annoying.
Weirdly with a kids meal, if the child has a sandwich the drink is free. If hot food, then drink is extra.
The club sandwich was very stale, dry, minimal contents randomly distributed.
The jacket potato was old, dry, with a couple of tablespoons of tuna. No butter. Having forgotten my cheese I took it back up. Seeing the paltry amount sprinkled upon its return, grated cheese must’ve replaced the dollar as the worldwide currency.
Staff were surly & not the happy, friendly bunch that used to be there.
All in all, for that price I could’ve gone to one of the local chain pubs for better food, more comfort, & a generally nicer atmosphere.
Ah well, next time.
I certainly won’t be coming back here.

Opted for quiche, which came with chips and salad x 2. The restaurant was empty around this time, 11.30 am. Shocking is being nice! The quiche was small and tasteless. Chips were as dry as the plate. Salad wasn't worth the effort of putting on the plate. The cake was bone dry and served on a saucer. All became clear, then why the place was empty.
Seasons has gone downhill from where it used to be!

I visited this restaurant yesterday for a quick lunch before work. There were no staff serving behind the counter and had to wait almost five minutes before any staff came to the counter, although I could hear them talking in the kitchen. The staff member who served me as well as not wearing a mask appeared miserable and did not smile once. There was no dividing screen between myself and her and I was surprised that despite the raging Omicron variant, it was not considered appropriate that she wear a mask. Whilst I waited for my food, I noticed that no members of the cafe staff were wearing masks or gloves, including the chef and the ladies who brought the food to the tables and cleared away, in contrast to the garden centre staff who were all wearing masks. I did not feel Covid safe, the soup tasted like it had come out of either a tin or carton and the butter was so cold that it could not be spread on the bread. I feel that it is hypercritical to expect customers to wear masks in order to protect staff members and customers, but it is felt that it is appropriate for staff who are involved in the preparation and serving of food consumed by paying customers can get away with not wearing them. Even if the staff are required to take lateral flow tests, they are not always accurate and are not a measure as to whether the staff member is infectious. Very disappointing.

Ordered cheese ploughman’s for lunch for both myself and my father. Jacket potato was ordered for mum. Upon arrival we were shocked to see the ploughman’s salad. It looked like a handful of side salad was put on the plate with a small pork pie, 2 slices of cheese , 3 small silver skin onions and coleslaw . No crisps as stated on description on menu. I asked for the crisps and these were slammed down on to the table by a very rude waitress. She then proceeded to tell us that these were not brought out originally as we had coleslaw which was not on the menu. Her customer service skills were zero. My mum had more salad on her plate as a side salad. It was my dad’s birthday and we wanted a nice lunch. Spoilt by the quality of the food and the very rude server. Not value for money.

This afternoon 18 of us went to Seasons Garden Centre Cafe for afternoon tea. The food was excellent, and plenty of it, in fact a number took some delights home. The choice of sandwiches and on brown/white bread, the large scones with jam and cream, and the range of small cakes was fantastic. It wasn't the first time the group had been to Seasons and it certainly won't be the last. A Big Thank You to Dawn and her wonderful staff. D King

Please do not eat here if you have serious allergies. Despite advising that we had Egg & Dairy allergies when ordering and checking the dishes ordered would be suitable, my sandwich came out with grated cheese stuck on the bottom having been prepare on a contaminated chopping board.
Thing happen and I understand mistakes, lucky for us it was dairy contamination and not egg which would have been a lot more severe.
But when I raised our issue and explained that they need to take more care with allergies, the Chef (who is also apparently the manager/most senior of the restaurant area) seemed to find it funny and actually sat there in front of me laughing about it.
That was what really disgusted me most, the actual lack of concern or genuine apology from him.
When I pulled him up, he tried to twist it and say that it was who needed to be understanding as he’s short staffed. Really? It only takes a minute to switch to a clean chopping board and wipe down surfaces. (It actually wasn’t that busy - we were one of the last orders before closing, as they were closing early that day) It Makes me very concerned about the level of hygiene as well, you have to question for how long and for what else was that chopping board used for?
The waitress as lovely about it and actually seemed a bit embarrassed of his behaviour and attitude. I can’t fault her service or manners.
But I will now be recommending that friends and family avoid due to the Head Chefs apparently lack of Understanding of allergies and questionable hygiene.
