We have been here loads of times over some years including new years eve yes covid has made places more expensive but tonight for one we couldn't find anything on the menu that we were interested in ! no way were we going to pay...£40 for sirloin steak!! What we ended up with was fine but we wouldn't have chosen either. Usually they come round with bread. Not anymore. Menu was strange mainly because we had no idea what some of them were! we booked for our anniversary and also didn't get table we requested and was confirmed!!so we were to be honest very disappointed . Some staff too were a little over the top (new). Never complained before and are not really now but it is not the same. ShameMore

Lovely unhurried lunch with friends , staff were extremely attentive and friendly without being too much . Food was glorious particularly the skate for main , very filling snd the flavours were lovely , sides of macaroni cheese and triple cooked chips were exquisite. We...observed the staff resetting the tables and the attention to detail was a pleasure to watch .More

1st visit for my wife and myself. Very nice grounds and a lovely dining area. Shown to our table. Waiting staff very smart. I had the beef & my wife had the chicken roast. Loads of meat, nice selection of veg. Nice roasts pots and...a huge yorkshire ! Both full but we managed to share a tiramisu which was very nice. Very enjoyable and will be back. A nice setting for a special occasion.More

Visited for a birthday treat, 5 adults. The service was very good. Setting is lovely, its much better on the inside than first impression from the outside. The food was great without being amazing. One friend couldn't eat her bass as it was covered in...too much sauce. It is also quite pricey compared to other restaurants of similar standard. I would recommend, there were good and allowed us to swap things out.More

We dinned here as a party of six in late August 2021 The food is good and well presented. The Prices are very heigh for what is offered. The location is very good and easy to find with plenty of parking. The decor is comfortable...with plenty of space although the waiting staff seemed to have some difficulty in service from the correct side all the time with some reaching across. The furnishings were adequate but some chairs could have been cleaner with some small markes on one of our chairs. The Service is where it was let down. Staff where not fully trained and there were a number of mistakes including: serving from the wrong side, driping water on the table and not cleaning up, bringing the wrong food ( for another table) on two occassions. The welcome was I felt a little cool and it did appear a little under staffed. However with the prices they charge it should not be a problem paying staff a good wage thus attracting quality staff. Overall I cannot recommend this resturant.More

We had eaten at the sister restaurant quite a few times, so we knew it was going to be good but it was amazing!!! We love good food and can be a bit fussy if I’m honest! There was no way you could fault it,...we sat outside in the lovely garden and from the start the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, really nice chilled vibe to the place. We had the trio of canapés to share to start which were 10/10 and then for my main I had the steak and lobster tail, again it was perfect!! The mac & cheese with beef cheek side was just something else and then the desserts were absolutely spot on. What a place!!!! Will definitely be returning very soon!! 😋More

Went for Sunday lunch, it was such a lovely afternoon, started with Salmon which was delicious then I had the roast beef, food and service was great. The only thing I would say is that the starter menu was not inspiring a few things I...thought was just not what you would expect. I would highly recommend.More

We enjoy eating out at lots of good pub restaurants in the area. However, for Fathers Day we booked for a party of eight at Le Benaix, where we have eaten several times before. We knew it would be a little more special - and...it was. Very smartly dressed staff and beautiful surroundings. For not a huge amount more in cost we enjoyed a three course meal of a very high standard. The food was plentiful, full of flavour, and exciting to look at! My only niggle was that our visit took three hours - and there were very large gaps between ordering and receiving.More

Cannot say I have ever looked at prices pre visiting, and can say once you arrive, you will see prices, Le Benaix is not a venue to visit on a low budget, its prices reflect the total experience and fanastic delights... More
