It is really difficult to put in to words just how amazing the food was...... My wife and I came for a meal tonight having visited Warmer Bros studio. We fancied a curry and I could not resist The Fat Buddah because if it's humorous...name. We was bowled over by the quality of the food and the really efficient and friendly staff. The food was not only the best food we have ever eaten in an Indian restaurant but the portion sizes were huge and it was excellent value for money. This restaurant is a must. Highly recommended.More

Wow wow wow. From the friendly warm welcome to the doggie bag home… first class food and service. My partner and I had heard great things so booked a table. Super friendly and attentive staff. Thanks you to our funny and on it east ender....Vegetarian dishes never seen before. You have to try the broccoli - so fresh with amazing flavours. The mushroom and spinach so moorish. The cabbage - light and so delicious. Fluffiest lightest Naan have every had. So many dishes to choose. Not enough room!!! Guessing by the standard of the veggie stuff the meat eaters are in for a treat. Had a wonderful dining experience and will be back with more people so they can spread the word. Thank you.More

My wife and I went to The Fat Buddha for dinner after quite a long absence, mainly due to Covid restrictions. The service was good but the ambience rather less so, as not only was there a very noisy party of about 15 young men...constantly shouting to each other but also the lighting was incredibly dim - so much so that even the waiter had difficulty reading the menu and had to hold it up near a light. My wife and I each had 2 poppadoms, and chose a main dish each and a vegetable dish each. We shared one pilau rice, and drank one Cobra and one bottle of water. I readily acknowledge that of course the prices are stated on the menu, but nevertheless we were very startled by the bill which was over 85 pounds. For a simple one course curry that's much too expensive, and we won't be returning.More

6 of us dined on a Saturday night and it was quite busy and noisy which is not helped by the low ceilings. Be prepared to take a torch if you want to read the menu as it's very dark inside. The chicken lollipop starters...were excellent. My fellow diners were impressed by the amount of meat served in their mains as in many places it can be mostly sauce. I had the paprika chicken masala and was very disappointed. It was dry (just 6 pieces of mini breast fillet) with a hint of marinade but no sauce. I couldn't taste any paprika at all. Oh and watch out for the charges on the dips with your poppadoms, they will charge everyone at the table for the dips, even though they just put out one normal sized tray of 4 dips. There's also a 12.5% service charge added on to an already expensive menu. I won't be rushing back.More

Arrived at far Buddha told to sit and wait until our table was ready so seeing as there was 10 of us we thought we would order a bottle of rose and a few pints. We wasn’t given a wine list to choose from just...offered a bottle wasn’t until the bill at the end that the bottle of rose was actually 55 pounds which we would not of ordered at that price! The food was good and plates hot and service is excellent, but we warned it’s expensive. Nearly 500 for 8 of us. Nice treat but had nicer food and half the price. Would we Return ? Probably not. The ambience is lovely and and nice outside seating area so we can’t knock everything just found it very pricey.More

Lovely curries all round! Mum enjoyed her biryani, saying it was her “all time favourite”. My jalfrezi was very nice too. Would order more often if not for the £25 minimum spend, which is fine when there’s 3 or 4, but not for lonely old...me. My favourite curry house in Berko for sure.More

Went to visit last night and we were very disappointed with the standard of food. Maybe it was our choice but it was basically ( Chicken Tikka Massala) 3 lumps of chicken in a very greasy awful tasting sauce. Very sweet it was actually inedible...but as we were hungry I disguised the discussing taste with the dry over cooked rice. Bill was extortionate for rubbish food. Wouldn’t advice anyone to go, complete rip off. Felt embarrassed as we’d asked our friends to join us & they thought it was a joke too. Won’t be returning & thats 2couples not happy. Service was okMore

It's mostly on street parking and quite a busy road, so parking can be difficult but in the evening there are some odd pavement spaces available.
