Nicest vegan burgers I've ever had! I had trouble finding a vegan meal that I wanted here and having ordered garlic mushrooms I found they were drenched in cream. I should've checked. They kindly took them back and replaced my meal with a vegan burger....Very kind but not exciting. UNTIL I bit into it!! Wonderful crunchy outside filled with glorious peas/broad beans/ creamy green stuff. So tasty!! Wish I could have the recipe???More

We visited for Sunday lunch which is served from midday to about 6.30 Food was excellent loads of it all well cooked and even a take away box supplied for our dog.We definitely intend to visit again asap

Popped in on the off chance of having Sunday lunch on a wet and windy day. Able to get a table in the bar as we had our dog with us. We both had the roast lamb - plenty of meat, stuffing and roast potatoes...and dishes of veg (broccoli, cabbage, cheesy leeks, carrots, swede and mashed potatoes) and a jug of extra gravy. All served piping hot and delicious.More

Great food in a relaxed environment. Felt really chilled out and the perfect way to end a day. Huge portions, definite value for money! Hope to return next time we're there 😃

Under new management since March 2023 this pub/restaurant has been totally transformed. The quality of food is outstanding but be relaxed waiting, food is cooked to order, no microwave rubbish here. I had Hake which was outstanding. The place has a buzz to it and...has become the place to eat for us. Booking in advance probably essential.More

My wife and I popped in for dinner. We ordered scampi and chips. The portion was large well presented and delicious. Highly recommend visiting there.

Experienced a thoroughly enjoyable meal at the New Inn last night with family. Really tasty home cooked food was enjoyed by the whole dinner party. The staff were really friendly and even though it was busy in the restaurant nothing was too much trouble. We...had a slight wait for food but we were more than happy with that given we were a table of 6 and it was all cooked to order. I had the burger and it was of such good quality, not an ounce of fat or gristle in it and the chips were home made. We all had a mixture of meals (scampi, gammon, mac n cheese, burgers) and all were of generous sizes and not one negative comment from anyone! We will most definitely return in the future and would highly recommend the New Inn to anyone!More

Six of us went for Sunday lunch, as it was recommended to us. The place had a lot of character and was reassuringly busy, both inside and outside. 4 of us had roast beef, 1 had lamb and 1 had turkey, and we were all...impressed with the amount of meat and plentiful vegetables served on separate dishes. All the meat dishes were well cooked and we all enjoyed the quality and quantity of the food. One member of the party had a “small adult” plate which was adequate for her. Service was quick and efficient bearing in mind how many customers were there. The location was close to the sea front.More

Telephoned for a table on the off chance that one was available, lucky for us there was one. The restaurant area was full of diners. Our food, one had steak etc & I had mussels etc. there was a small wait as your food is...(home cooked & fresh) it was delicious. The servers are professional, courteous & friendly - all of them. Ok some reviews on here say about waiting but this is not a (ding place ) it’s a freshly cooked meals establishment & the food is cooked by an obviously highly trained chef. Definitely will return.More
