Food was OK at a cost of $67 for the three of us including drinks. The service was slow and toilets very dirty.

We ate at a lunchtime on a Saturday in February and I will say that the food was perfectly fine though hardly inspiring. However I have never experienced a more arrogant front of house as this man. He provided his staff with the worst example possible and to call the service slovenly would be kind. Dishes and plates are dropped... More

This was a surprise in many ways. First of all, we ate here on our last day in Sydney and we have not had good food experiences so far and we didn't expect this place to be any different. To be honest, the food in Sydney is very bland and very expensive. Let that be a warning to first timers... More

This restaurant is well placed along the main street of Bondi directly opposite the beach. Food is typical of an italian bistro. Quality is excellent but over priced. However anything along the main street of Bondi is expensive. We had pastas and they were fantastic. Service was very good too. If you can stomach their prices you won't be disappointed... More

Food was quite acceptable. It would be an enormous advantage to have hired fluent English-speaking waiters.

Quirky service but OMG the BEST spaghetti puttanesca EVER. The restaurant is tucked away behind the small take-away pizzeria but opens up into a lovely space. Delicious food and friendly if a bit bizaare service.

WE have been taken to this restaurant on several occasions for mainly family celebrations bc the children are treated well and love to go there. Our families live in the Eastern Subs and go to this fun and fab restaurant quite often a great place to take our visitors too. Good Food and ambience.

I have been goin to "Papas" for years and will continue to go to this wonderful Italian restaurant. There are few places in the world with such a large menu/variety and have the ability to consistently maintain the superb quality that Papa Giovanni does. From the pastas to the pizzas to the stunning seafoods... I would recommend this restaurant to... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
