In the simplicity of the classic Italian family-run osteria we present our foods by pointing to the quality and the substance, we are not a stellate restaurant Michelin, we will still treasure your suggestion ... best regards Fam Sanna and Zambiasi

We had a delicious meal here, with great pasta dishes, risotto and wine. The restaurant is family run and you get an authentic Italian experience. The garden out the back is great to catch the last of the evening's rays and they offer both cocktails...More

It was our first night in Maderno, a Wednesday. We had planned to eat at LaTana, which was full. So we walked to Gatto Giallo which was closed, but Antica Pozzo was open; so 7 of us went in. (I had actually planned to go...More

Went in for an evening drink with friends. We were directed through to their lovely courtyard at the back. Very convivial atmosphere, our drinks were brought promptly, with nibbles, olives, ham etc. We actually went back there another couple of timesas we were very impressed.

Food and service was very good, but unfortunately price was definitely too high for presented quality and amount.

Me and my wife had an excellent dinner based on seafood (sea and river fish). Here I tried for the first time "carpaccio di trota" a thin slice of river fish served with lemon emulsion. Very good also the main course "penne al persico". The...More

We were two families (8 people) and booked a table for Sunday night at Osteria L'Antico Pozzo, mainly because it had good reviews on Tripadvisor and because we are staying nearby. The waitress explained that - since they had a busy Saturday - very few...More

Description
Our family welcomes you in our little Osteria, a unique location: Palazzo Gonzaga. The heritage dates back to the beginning of XVII century, when the Gonzaga, Lords and Masters of Mantua, chose Maderno and its mild climate for their holiday residence. The Osteria is located in the old kitchen and cellar. You will not find a fixed menu, but our culinary proposals are written in Italian on a board at the entrance. We shall do our best to translate them in English!! Sunday lunch (when the weather is fresh) or Saturday evening (in summer) offer our typical Spiedo: meat (pork, chicken, rabbit) and potatoes broiled. If you are more than 10 people and you want to taste it, you just have to book and we'll be happy to broil it for you! Our dishes will make you discover our traditions and the flavour of our past and history.
