I go to the Passage about 6 to 8 times a year something I have done for a number of years. I have never had a bad meal or bad service in that time. This week I went with wifey for Banquet Night , we...had Papadoms, starter, main course with Pilay and also Ice cream for £16.95, we did spend a little more as we had a couple of drinks each plus extra papadoms and 2 Chapatti's. The restaurant and toilets are always spotless, in fact the restaurant has had a refit with new chairs etc I have never been disappointed with The Passage to India, and for me it is 10/10..More

Spotlessly clean and welcoming restaurant. Good choice of dishes. Excellent recommendations from the staff too. Just tell them what you like and how hot and look at their suggestions

This Indian Restaurant is so good. The staff are always so attentive and nothing too much trouble . we had a large party and the meals were spot on. We've celebrated two special birthdays here and would recommend it. They even provided foil dishes to...take the curry etc home. I've used them as a takeaway as well and have no issues at all. This spot was great for a casual night out. We went at 9.00pm with no booking and the staff was welcoming. We got our prawns starters shortly on a beautiful dish with a selection of sauces. Top quality chops: the best in my life! Delicious...and tender! I'll be back!More

Booked a table for 7.30 when we arrived there was 25+ people waiting. We didn’t get seated till 8.30. starters arrived at 9.10 and it was one of the greasiest Chicken Tikka Masala’s I have ever eaten. My main was King Prawn Sagwala which didn’t...look like prawns but some kind of connective tissue!! It was absolutely disgusting. I complained and the waiter brought out a Chicken Tikka Masala, this arrived at 10.10 and by this time I had gone off the idea. My friends lamb was burnt and inedible, her starter was received cold. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant. The restaurant was full to capacity and they were more interested in the customers who were collecting their orders. First time visiting on the recommendation from friends . A table for 4 booked for 7.30 , we eventually got seated at 8.15 after they allowed people arriving after us to jump the queue. The waiter immediately asked us to order even though one of...our party was in the toilet and hadn't even sat down. We eventually got our starters at around 9.15 pm - 2 of which were undercooked and cold (fish pakura) and sent back. Main course of lamb shashlick was burnt , dry and pretty inedible. Concessions were made on the bill but the whole experience was pretty shambolic.More

Diabolical Service. Booked a table for 7pm 2 weeks in advance. Restaurant full, Still waiting to be seated at 7.15pm no empty tables and was told to wait! When explained the table had been booked 2 weeks prior, Manager told us ‘cannot move people out...of their seats’ and we have to wait!! Doesn’t even warrant 1 star!! Wouldn’t go again. Disappointing to say the least.More

Brilliant Indian restaurant. Always good quality food and good service. Can't go wrong with any choice on the menu here but I recommend the Bhuna. The guys there are super friendly too

My husband and I and my mother came to the Passage to India. My mother ordered chicken resotti, my husband garlic chilli chicken and I ordered chicken tawa. The food was simply delicious and the best curries we can ever remember enjoying. The service was...second to none - not intrusive, charming and helpful. Sad to write (as a regular customer) that I had a bad stomach for 2 days after recently eating here. As with many other restaurant’s, I always worry about the hygiene of the establishment and regrettably, I no longer have any confidence in this restaurant....You certainly get the sense that the food is not as good as it once was. I’ve noticed just how dirty the back entrance is in the car park. We will be eating out less often and paying more for a meal at an establishment that looks cleaner and the food is of a better quality and there is no shouting heard from the kitchen!More

We used to order from here all the time, it was our go to place! HOWEVER… The last few times we have ordered from here, it’s been awful. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, but our valentines takeaway was dreadful. The takeaway was...cold, tasteless and dry. The chips were horrific. They forgot one of our dishes and said that it would be a 40 minute wait for it to be delivered. I was fuming! Above all, the cost of it seems to have considerably risen. It’s such a shame, because it use to be the best place to go to for an Indian but I won’t bother again until they improve!!!More
