Owing to a family member being immobile we had to opt for the Takeaway option. Unfortunately, the food was truly awful and looked and tasted as if had been recycled from an all day buffet. Apart from the Panang Curry, none of the dishes had...any taste of distinctive Thai spices and aromas. The Thai Dim Sum were a solid mass that had been microwaved to death. The Rice was chalky and not cooked adequately and the Prawn Crackers would not have been out of place if used as packaging in an Amazon delivery box!!! This was all very disappointing, especially as we have eaten here in the past and always enjoyed it. If we had been served this in the Restaurant I would most certainly have sent it back. Sadly, a birthday celebration ruined!!!More

Absolutely brilliant! The service was quick and polite, the waiters were at hand whenever we needed something and the food was served piping hot and fresh. The food… was absolutely delicious! I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something different and very...reasonably priced!More

Fifteen of us had a reunion dinner in the Blue Orchid. The staff were friendly and very helpful (we are all over 70, some over 80) and even opened the back door to help us leave more easily. We had pre ordered set meals and...the food was all hot and tasty. Everyone enjoyed the variety offered. No complaints, and we may even return next year.More

A one star rating with regard to service and attitude of who, I presume was the manager. Despite booking well in advance for a party of 14, we arrived to be told we were sitting outside. I explained I had not reserved an outside table...and was told we tried to call you today to let you know. When I questioned this, as no message had been left. I was laughed at and told “that’s not how it works”. We were asked to wait in a small crowded entrance and told they would try and get us an inside table as soon as a table had finished their meal ( they were going to ask that party to vacate the table immediately after they had finished eating!!). We asked if complimentary drinks might be offered whilst we wait as there was no time given for when the table might be ready, the response another laugh and “ the drinks will not be free”. The main reason for this poor review is because of the service and attitude. I do not expect to be interrupted, not given eye contact, being told it was my fault even though I hadn’t booked an outside table and laughed at. The one positive is the refund of deposit was provided when asked. From observation, it seems this restaurant clearly overbooks and places profit over customer service and the attitude of a key person is well below what you would expect and quite simply, rude.More

We have dined at this establishment and also enjoyed numerous take aways however we are beginning to wonder if there has been a change in management of late as on our previous visit on getting our takeaway home there was an item missing when we...got home which we notified them of and noting was done . On this occasion we ordered a set meal and there were 3 items missing and the prawn crackers were stale ! As we don’t live locally we called them immediately, explained we are not local and it would be to them to deliver the missing items as I was not prepared to drive there and back again ! After a few minutes they had checked and realised we’d had not got what we ordered and paid for so a full refund was offered and accepted . That said this experience has made us decide to explore other options when looking for a Thai restaurant whether it be dining in or for a takeaway . My advice to anyone ordering a takeaway is to ensure they double check your order on collection , they seem to have enough staff so this should not be an issue . My advice to the manager is you need to employ staff that are capable of ensuring your customers receive what they have ordered and paid and also check your prawn crackers !More

The setting, the relaxation music played in the background, the atmosphere created and the delicious food complemented by the exquisite service of the gentleman who was working at the time (did not get a name, unfortunately) made it an outstanding experience. Absolutely lovely. The ladies...room was also looking great, with all the little details covered. Very charming place. I wish I could’ve left a tip, but they did not have the option on the card reader. They also offered to pack away my unfinished food, which was great, as I “over-ordered” :D. The hot towel at the end with the little chocolate made it the better 😊More

I ordered a family takeaway from the Indian menu, husband collected it, got home, no rice. I called to tell them and they said I hadn’t ordered rice - I reiterated I had. Eventually and without apology they said I could come and collect the...rice and it would be free. So another car journey and again no apology when my husband collected it. Food below average - dhansak lacking lentils and prawns, prawn purée portion seems to have halved in size. All in all, v disappointed in service and food.More

Myself, my partner and two friends had to endure 2 hours 30 minutes, to be served three starters and a main course. My partner, she did not have a starter, but when her sticky rice was served a plastic boil in the bag was dropped...on her plate, still in the plastic bag. Upon complaining we were told that’s how we serve it. They then brought another rice out, this time in a little woven pot but still in a plastic bag. It was sent back. I’ve been here many times before but now never again, very disappointed. For the privilege for this they knocked the rice off the bill and gave a drink for each of us, which wasn’t wanted, still £180, no tip was given.More

After placing our order (table for 2) we waited 50 mins for our starters, which we had to ask for, as other tables that arrived & ordered after us, got served. The excuse was ‘as you can see we are very busy’. We then waited...patiently for nearly another hour, while other, larger tables, who had ordered after us were served main courses. We were not happy, but tried to be understanding, but another table, who ordered after us, who were complaining, got their food. At this point I asked why, but was given no explanation, so decided to leave. If at any time someone had spoken to us, without using excuses, to placate our irritation, I would not be so angry & hungry. I will not be returning to this restaurant, even though we live locally. Maybe if you cannot cope with the volume, you shouldn’t take the bookings!More

Fabulous setting outside but unfortunately it was quite a chilly wind today, however, the staff were so pleasant and efficient, the food was delicious and hot, I really couldn’t fault any of it. Thank you for making my friend’s birthday so special.

This used to be my favourite restaurant and I was so excited to learn they were part of the ‘Gourmet Society’ that offers discount on Monday to Thursday. I phoned to book a table the same evening and agreed a time with the gentleman over...the phone. I said that I was a Gourmet Society member because you have to say when you book to be able to use it. I was then told they were fully booked and had too many Gourmet Society customers that evening and I wouldn’t be able to use it. Absolutely appalled!! Why be part of this scheme if they refuse to let customers use it. They had a table available but only if I didn’t use my card for the discount which is valid Mon-Thurs. Will not be going back any time soon!! Hugely disappointed as it has completely changed my view on the restaurant I loved.More
