Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fantastic restaurant, simple, rustic with very good food for a pretty good value for money. Everything we tried was very delicious, especially fish. They are quite child friendly and have children menu which is very convenient. Also their dishes of the day are...very good , fresh and delicious. The only minus is that the service can be a bit slow sometimes, but it is mostly because the restaurant is very popular, therefore I would definitely suggest to book the table here.More

We have eaten here before and the food did not disappoint. Decent menu especially if you like fresh sea food ( I don't ) but there are alternatives available such as steak which I ordered and was delicious. There was a nice children's menu for...my two grandchildren which they enjoyed. Service was quick which was a bonus with small children. Lovely carafe of red wine to go with our steaks. Prices very reasonable, would definitely revisit when back in France. Good idea to book as this place gets very busy. Plenty of free parking nearby.More

Didn’t actually eat here because the restaurant was fully booked. That is acceptable, but the dismissive way I was treated is not. When I asked for a table, the response was a one word Complet, delivered in a manner which said “You’re not welcome “....Other reviewers have had a similar experience and any complaints have been answered by the owner in a very defensive way.More

Driving back towards Calais after a wonderful stay in Amiens, we popped into this large restaurant for lunch. Good service, great food and a wonderful looking menu for New Year’s Eve - shame we can’t get back there.

I visited this restaurant on the 16th of August with my family, three adults and two children (7 & 3). Nice location, fairly small menu but all of our food was well cooked and tasty. Price was reasonable I thought. two children's meals including their...drinks and ice cream, two starters, three mains and three sweets, three cocktails and one bottle of wine, total bill 183 euro plus tip 200 euro. The downside was the really slow service, we are quite used to eating in France and other European destinations where service is shall we say more relaxed, but 25 minutes for a server to take an order was a bit much I thought. All in all we were there nearly three hours, far too long for the two children. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with the menu questions and it was not his fault everything was so slow, more a case of understaffing, that needs to be addressed.More

This place does seafood very well, with a friendly service. Every year it's our traditional first stop after an afternoon of intense taiji training. Great place to relax, eat and drink, and enjoy a good dessert. Not the cheapest place around, but worth it.

Had lunch here on a cold and wet day in November. Although not very busy, we were made very welcome and the food was excellent. We had mussels which were stunning, steak and lamb shanks. The lamb was so tasty and the sauce mopped up...by the lovely french bread was delicious. Portion sizes big so no room for desserts. Would come back for sure.More

After a long walk on the beach we stopped by to refill we both had a paella (treat of the day) ... 6 hours later I am still trying to digest it after having wondered if I would not get really sick on the way...back . Poorly cooked , quality of ingredients doubtful... my wife was more clever ... after 1 shrimp she decided to only eat the rice and chicken (not good but digestible... even if hungry pass away.More

As the title suggests, this place does seafood, and it does so really well. Mussels with curry sauce, small but plenty of them. So much in fact that I could barely finish 'em. Friends had salmon, cod, a variety of delicious desserts, and a great...time.More

Good service but limited menu and very overpriced, probably brcause of the captive audiance at the campsite. I had Moules frites. Frites fine, moules tasteless. There a couple of other restaurants to try or just into Calais.

Stopped off as it was so hot we all needed a pit stop. This was a nice find. The guy serving was really lovely and charming to my girls. Service was prompt, the drinks very good and the price reasonable. Love these out of the...way places couldn't see it surviving in greedy England.More
