I took my mother to have coffee and cake. The place was very busy so we sat outside. Rugs for those who wanted them outside, which was a nice idea. The farm nearby had spread sileage which was a bit unpleasant but clearly not their fault and the coffee wasn't as hot as it might have been after being brought... More

I live near this cafe and frequent it quite often. I had a coffee and cake (cake was extremely dry). I then visited again to give them another chance and discretely asked which cake wasn't dry and the young girl immediately commented that they don't have dry cake!!! I obviously didn't want to have an argument with her!!! I've had... More

I visited The Barn today (23/4/17) for brunch. Beautiful barn really cosy. I ordered poached eggs on toast with serrano and hollandaise. The server then asked if I would like brown or white bread and I stated brown and she went and asked chef if he could still cook this as it was spot on 12. He said yes and... More

Have visited 3 times now once with my daughter, once with friends from Canada and lately my best friend, during April. All liked the fact it is away from the hustle and bustle of life. Enjoy!

Stopped off for a coffee and found a little gem. The cafe was full and the menu gave a range of tasty options. The cakes were light and moist.

Having visited before this was an obvious choice for a small gathering for a light Easter lunch. The Barn can be found off the beaten track and is worth leaving the main road for. There is plenty of on site parking and there are other small businesses in close proximity but the barn does feel like the main event and... More

I didn't know this cafe existed until my friends booked a table for lunch. What a fabulous place. Extremely popular and busy which is always a good sign. Fantastic quiche salad and lovely atmosphere. I loved it and look forward to going there again. Well done to them for getting everything so right!!

I was driving home leisurely after spending the previous day in Bournemouth, and found the signpost to this cafe quite by chance. It was very busy but served a great selection of lighter bites and cakes. I opted for one of the home made quiches which was excellent. The place was very busy, testament to the quality of its offerings.... More
