Arrived a bit before 6pm when the restaurant was due to start serving but they kindly let us order early, over a drink (great selection of local beers). We had to eat in the less cosy side area as the restaurant was fully booked. The menu was limited but interesting with something for everyone. What's more, the food was fabulous... More

We booked Sunday Lunch for Easter Sunday giving 1 weeks notice, we arrived a little early on the day, checking in at the Bar there were people in the pub so we were looking forward to a nice meal like we had 2 years previously in the bar area, we were told that our table was in the restaurant, and... We visited for lunch on a Friday, the place was almost empty apart from what I took to be a couple of locals sitting at the bar, I'd expected it to be a bit busier on a Friday and it seemed a shame as the staff were welcoming. We were given menus and seated and made our choices, The menu... More

Food was was not bad really over priced . Main was fish and chips i though it was a goldfish so small and the chips where greasy . The cheese board for £8.50 was really disappointing a couple of bits of cheese and some sad looking grapes . Disappointed .

Rang around a few places on the sunday before christmas in the hope of getting a turkey dinner for me and my partner, around lunchtime. Most places were booked, but spoke to a chap at The Boot and he said he could fit us in. When we got there, the guy at the bar showed us to our table, we... More

We had a set meal celebrating New Year. Our food was delicious, especially the fillet of beef for main course. The food is always good here. We were with friends who live away and they commented that the Boot was by far the best pub in the area. The pub welcomes eaters as well as locals and all joined together... More

Went to this charming little pub for a family dinner a few weekends ago on a Saturday night. We'd booked as it gets busy. I think we ate off the Christmas menu (being December), which had a really nice variety of foods in each course. Great food, and other than a small hiccup with an overdone dessert, it was a... More

We've been to this pub on numerous occasions and have always had lovely well cooked food. However this time I was left slightly disappointed as my steak was slightly rubbery and had a funny taste. We think this may have been to the pan being too hot. My partners food also had this underlying taste to it. We didn't complain... More
