Guided Hiking for Singles

I’m interested in doing a hiking holiday in September/October 2009, preferably in Europe somewhere. I have done hiking holidays with HF Holidays before (5 times!), and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with them. Travelling as a single person, though, I found that often the crowd was a lot older with HF than me (I’m late 30s). Also their “solo” holidays had a few token solo travellers, but would be grouped together with couples and families travelling together as well.

I’m looking for guided hiking, preferably with accommodation/meal prices included. I wonder if anyone has hiked with any groups that they would recommend? My countries of preference are England, France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales….although I’m flexible! I would like something geared to solos/singles.

Any recommendations/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Try www.ramblersholidays.co.uk ALthough noone will be able to guarantee the age range of the holidays.

The ramblers also have 20-30's groups that also walk on a regular basis. CHeckout www.ramblers.org.uk.

A bit late for your question but who knows if you have found the answer you wanted?

Near to the UK is Turkey - fly to Dalaman Airport and walk the Lycian Way. A number of operators organise guided walks from both ends eg Fethiye or Antalya.

Intrepid and Ramblers but also some local operators.

Check out Alternatif Outdoor who have a departure on 19 to 23rd September and 7 to 11th October. I have just enquired!
