Jasper to Prince Rupert

I am wondering if this is too long/arduous of a drive in one day. If so where would one suggest we stay one night, let's say driving for 8 hours from Jasper (with destination being Prince Rupert)?

Definitely a two day drive. It is more than a thousand kilometers, much of it two lane highway through mountains.

Prince George is the only "big" town, but there are smaller towns & remote lodges scattered along the highway. You might want to read up a bit on the Yellowhead Highway in MilePost (at your library maybe or sold in bookstores), it has a mile by mile breakdown of the highway with gas, food and lodging noted.
