Water activities (non strong swimmer)

We are heading to a beach vacation shortly and most of the activities involve swimming etc, now i can swim but not for a long time or overly comfortably, but would still be keen on - trying windsurfing, snorkelling, maybe even diving...

was keen to take any tips or thoughts to help me get through initial nerves

thank you

Conil de la Frontera is a spectacular Summer Holiday destination, with immense Atlantic Ocean Beaches, white washed villages encroaching onto golden sands and crystal clear waters. The team at Oceano Surf Camps are local to the area and ensure that from day one you feel fully at home in Conil whilst integrating into the local lifestyle. Andalusia, Spain- http://www.surf-school-spain.com/en/ are particularly suited to beginner surfers as we will take you through the learn to Surf essentials in the space of one week.

For windsurfing or the like, I might use a PFD, if you're not comfortable in water. For snorkeling, stay close to the boat and keep others aware of your situation. Use flippers that will aid in propulsion. Problems in water or climbing, etc arise when panic sets in and you let in take over. Remain calm and communicate. Float on your back to conserve energy and get breaths. Know your limitations and don't get into situations that will create panic.
