Skiing mid March 2014

Hi

I'm hoping to go snowboarding for a week beginning 15th March. I'm concerned that the snow reports aren't coming back to favourably. Can anyone suggest the best places where I may get enough snow to board on this year in Mid March?

Thanks in advance

Ian T.

Crested Butte, Colorado- We've had 18 ft of snow to date. The skiing is fantastic.

Not sure how far you want to travel, but Snowbird has over a seven-foot-base and it is forecast to snow for the next week. There will be plenty of snow and the elevation is high enough to keep decent quality. March is the wettest month in Utah, so we hope the pattern continues. Lots of connecting flights from NYC and ATL and then easy access to the slopes from the Salt Lake Airport, as there are literally about 10 major ski areas within a one hour drive from SLC.

Park City will have the nightlife and activities like Spring Gruv. Alta and Snowbird will have the terrain, elevation, and deeper snow.
