Snow Delay - Thanks to Forum No Problem

My husband/son left Thursday to visit our daughter who's studying abroad (Dublin). I was initially going to have them fly out on Good Friday but due to advice from this forum and others, I opted to pull the kid out of school (he certainly didn't mind) and book the flight for Thursday. The rationale was to leave a day early in case of flight delays/cancellations. Well they got out fine on Thursday, but MKE and Ohare both had cancellations/delays on Friday due to yet another snow storm! Thanks to advice from forums, they get an extra day of vacation instead of losing a day or two! FYI: They flew Aerlingus and said the flight staff was really great and that the in-seat tv screens really helped pass the time.

Glad you made it to your vacation. Once you are rested, come help me shovel snow. Hopefully we will see the ground by June :-)

Hey Waupaca: At least we're not in Milwaukee - they're really getting dumped on this year. Now they'll have to add a couple of months to road construction season to fill in the pot-holes.

Wisconsin has three seasons: Winter, Road Construction and Football!
