Flights MAN (manchester UK) to EWR (Newark Int'l, near NY)

Have been looking at the flights and looking to book shortly. Have flown in the past with Continental but these are coming up quite expensive. British Midland Airways are coming up cheaper for the same flights and it says are run by continental, just wondering if anybody as flown with BMI on this route and if you can advise your comments,

Thanks in advance

You aren't flying bmi. They're a Star Alliance partner of Continental so it'll be operated by CO.

There are two daily flights MAN-EWR, both operated by Continental (CO21 and CO101 for a random day in May). These are also code shared by Lufthansa, BMI and United.

A quick check on Expedia is showing the Lufthansa and BMI tickets as cheapest, followed by United then Continental. Note the difference I'm seeing is only about $20-25 US (I'm using .com).

thanks for replies, quite a saving in GBP - approx £200 per ticket.

So flying with BMI should be on a continental plane, bit like BA and Delta?

Continental economy service is better than other US carriers, which is not a high threshold to cross. It will be a 757 in a 3-3 configuration so will be narrow and tight, unless you get exit row seating.

It wont be special, but then Trans-Atlantic economy class simply isn't.

BA and Delta do not code share on each other. BA codeshares with American now.

Newark (EWR) is the most expensive airport to fly into/out of in the entire United States...do you have to use that airport or can you try JFK or LGA?
