I will have to check if that is true on their other Chase Visa cards. Thanks for the heads up. I am going to call them about mine

True, I was too lazy to write the whole name that is why I included the message verbatim. Let me know what you find out about the other Chase cards

My British Airways Visa Signature card has been advertising this for a while now.

Nevertheless, as I mentioned in another thread I'm skeptical. Instead of a Forex fee you'll most likely just get a worse exchange rate...

Chase has also announced an end to this fee for holders of the Continental Airlines Presidential MC. So far, it seems to be all airline related cards--BA, United and now Continental. Be interesting to see if this follows on all Chase cards.

Not necessarily. In Australia the 28 Degrees Mastercard (formerly Wizard Clear Advantage) has long advertised no foreign exchange fees and the exchange rate is excellent.

I have cards from 2 other banks who claim to charge me 2% and 2.5% and the rate from the Wizard card has always been better than the other rates by approximately those amounts. With the Aussie dollar bouncing around as much as it does it is difficult to be more precise than that.

However I can say with certainty that the rate I get is significantly better than my other cards and there are no additional fees.

The bank doesn't set the exchange rate -- Visa does. See …visa.com/personal/…exchange_rates_faq.html for FAQ and …visa.com/personal/…consumer_ex_rates_us.jsp for a calculator. Compare it to a foreign exchange site and you'll find it's an outstandingly good rate so long as there aren't any bank surcharges added to it.

FOREX is the same as it was. There is no foreign exchange fee on the Continental Presidential Plus card and there has never been on the Hyatt card, both Chase cards. I have yet to hear on my Marriott card.

What about the Continental One Pass MC? Maybe it applies only to the Continental Presidential MC only. I'm also interested to know if the Chase Marriott Visa is included.
