TSA Question

I read that you are only allowed the 3 oz containers of gels and liquids what about something like a cream--I always carry anti itch cream with me for bug bites but it is in a larger tube.

This is also considered a liquid and you are limited to 3.4 oz. Must be placed in your liquids bag.

You can carry your bug cream in your checked luggage. There are no restrictions on the volume of liquids (or creams or gels) for checked luggage only for cabin or carry on luggage.

If you are only travelling with carry on luggage then check to see whether you can either buy the cream at your destination or ask your doctor or pharmacist for a sample size tube that would meet the travel restrictions.
