Virgin Atlantic up in the bubble

I just checked in and it allowed me to take seats up in the bubble, aren't they all PE?

Not all, depending on the config there are some standard economy up there.

Different VS 747s have different configurations. Some of those they send to Barbados for example have both economy and Upper Class seats upstairs (which has upset many Upper Class pax!).

I have heard mixed reports about those economy seats in the bubble, with many saying they are cramped? Any thoughts?

No experience of them, but I gather they are 3x3, which isn't hard to imagine being a bit tight.

It wasn't bad actually, standard economy seats but you get fed first and get off the plane first too!

The front end of the bubble is PE and the few rows at the back are economy. They are separated by a curtain..

We usually fly in the bubble PE but have now voted to go 'downstairs' as it is unsure if the PE left upstairs will be first off when we arrive.

bhlister when the PE downstairs have paid extra then I doubt if the economy upstairs will either be fed first or be first on/off the plane.. If this was the case mass complaints would follow.

I have flown it and in the SFO flight it was first and economy in the bubble, we got fed first and got off first both ways, this was so that first wouldn't trip over us on the way out!

If that is the case then Virgin will have some problems with the PE passengers downstairs.
