Thompson seat confusion!!

We have booked seats 9a & 9b on flight Tom070 leaving LGW to POP. And on return seats 4 f & 4g.

I have read some where on here (and I can't find it now!) that row 9 does not have windows. Can anyone help with confirming this either way?

Thanks in advance :)

Aircraft?

AFAIK the lack of windows at row 9 relates to their 767s.

If you don't know the type of aircraft, I am not sure how anyone can help you.

Travelling to Puerto Plata it will be a Boeing 767-300. Having booked seats in rows 1 and 9, I believe you have opted for the Premium cabin. Only the ex First Choice Airways 767-300's have 9 rows of premium seating. From looking at the seating plan, row 9 is immediately forward of the second entry door. I can see from external photographs of this aircraft type there is quite a lot space forward of this door before the windows do start, yet on the seating plan there is no toilet in this location to account for the lack of windows. ( the toilet is aft of the second entry door and not forward of it). There are five examples of this type currently operated by Thomson.

The seat plan for this type can be found here:-

http://www.seatplans.com/airlines/Thomson-Airways/seatplans/B767-300ER-(258)-v2

Only on one ex-First Choice 767-300 is this not the case and that is on aircraft registration G-OOAN. Check this link out to see the seat plan of this aircraft.

http://www.seatplans.com/airlines/Thomson-Airways/seatplans/B767-300ER-(258).

On the latter varient, there is a single toilet occupying the space just forward of the second entry door and row 9 in immediately ahead of it. I would imagine on this aicraft type, you might just get a window.

In summary, I think unless you are on G-OOAN, you more than likely will not have a window at row 9.

You will be on an ex FCA 767. There is no window on row 9 of Version 2 (which you are more likely to be on) but there is on Version 1.

Confirmation in link below that the Ex FC V2 does not have a window in row 9 due to where the wiring and air conditioning is routed.
