Flighthub.com

Hi there,

Has anyone ever used the website www.flighthub.com to book their flights? I see that their prices are much lower than some other 3rd party websites, but there does not seem to be alot of information when I google it. Just suspicious it may be a scam...wondering if anyone has ever successfully booked from them.

Thanks!

Searched for a particular flight on www.cheapflightsfinder.com as usual. Found a decent price, {so it appeared anyway}, on www.flighthub.com. Upon selecting the particular flight and paying with a credit card I was issued a receipt to print and a conformation was sent to my Email account. Seemed routine and thetransaction was fine. ...{"WRONG!!"}...

The next morning I received an email stating "YOUR RESERVATION REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION! Unfortunately, the fare you have recently booked has changed and you are required to give us a call. You can reach one of our travel specialist by calling us toll-free at 1-800-711-1755. In the event we do not hear from you within the next few hours, your reservation will be cancelled. We are sorry for the inconveniences it may have caused."

Really?!! Since when does a company who receives payment for a ticket turn around within 12 hours and say "the ticket price went up over night?" The ticket I purchased was for the amount of $419 R/T. However the next morning this company says that the price went up to $573 R/T. If I don't pay the new price my ticket purchase will be cancelled. Ummm.... This purchase already happened. How does this arrogant ticket agency come off with cancelling my purchase if I don't pay their new ransom? I'm extremely appalled! When questioning the so called "specialist"on this unheard of action, the "specialist" had no answers to their policies.

Now for something really twisted. After cancelling with this Joke of a ticket agency I went back to www.cheapflightsfinder.com, entered the desired flight information and once again www.flighthub.com comes up with the same flight at the same price I had payed, $419 R/T. "SCAM OPERATION"! So I widened my ticket agency search and just about all others had the same flight for $410 R/T. Orbits.com got the sale and I bought tickets from an honest trustworthy business in which I had used in the past.

The positive reviews on this site, No doubt in my mind, are linked to Flighthub directly. Don't trust these reviews and to keep your sanity "DO NOT MAKE A TRANSACTION WITH THESE CLOWNS"! email your friends and family and warn them to keep away from these crooks while searching for airline tickets. They are no good.

And lastly... I will be contacting the Attorney General's office, seeking action to protect airline consumers from this pathetic business

When the company does not have access to live prices, the same as most shonky third party bookers. Buy direct from the airline next time.

Some of my frndz also saved about 600 for the flight roundtrip. However, the price I paid was actually a price I saw on the airline website during their sale a couple of days prior to booking on FlightHub.

Hello...

I just spent my morning trying to reach Flight Hub's customer service line and while it did take me awhile i was able to get everything sorted out and only paid the price I originally agreed to.

Seldom do I ever buy something without researching into the company but as I have used sites like Kayak and Skyscanner before, I just went ahead and booked a flight from toronto - helsinki for $853

The reason I started to worry was that it had been 2 days and I had not received my actual E-tickets. Upon further research I learned that many people have had issues about price differences and subsequent cancellation problems

After waiting 2 hours on hold, the agent was able to help me and ultimately confirm my booking and send me a correct reference number which corresponded to the British Airways site.

The same flight was going for $6000 (yes, six thousand) on the British Airways site so while it was inconvenient to spend my morning on hold with them worrying that this was a scam I am ultimately happy with my experience, but will probably not use them in the future due to the uncertainty of fees

sorry yes i should have mentioned it was a one way flight

I know one ways can often be more expensive than a roundtrip but $6000 still seems pretty ridiculous for an economy seat

Ok so I'll bet a pound to a penny what Flighthub have done is sell you a return and expect you to just dump the return. Check in manage my booking and see if there is a return portion.

I just got the run around from a sub site called FareGeek wherein I booked a flight to Panama then 2 days later was advised that the fare was no longer available and they wanted approval to charge me an increased amount which was more that\n the actual Copa Airlines official site. I will never use this site again since it appears to be at least partially a scam!

Hi all,

I've booked through FlightHub twice now and so far so good. Both times resulted in substantial savings on my flights.

This being said, their business model is a bit sketchy and their customer service is abhorrent for non flight purchase-related enquiries. In terms of the sketch factor, both times when I've booked with them, upon clicking on the button to confirm my purchase transaction, when the purchase was confirmed, the price that I had been quoted on the last screen increased by a few dollars. Not much, and I still saved $50-75 on each of the purchases, but it was still sketchy and I'm sure adds up quickly for the company's bottom line. When I called customer service (after a 30 minute wait), I asked why the fares increased and the agent explained the pricing policy that others have already mentioned here and suggested that the airfares increased during the 30 seconds it took me to book. She then promptly hung up on me, perhaps accidentally. F- for customer service. Difficult to prove or disprove the explanation provided, but I suspect that this may well be part of their business model.

Overall then, they are a legitimate business with legitimately cheap flights but have lousy customer service and, in my limited experience, seem to add a few dollars to flight purchases. While I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau for seemingly not being up front with their pricing, if you can check your scruples at the door, they are probably still worth booking through to save a few bucks, however.

Jeremy

Avoid this website at any cost. I paid a dear price in terms of my precious time, as they billed more than they advertised. Their customer care is non-existent and rude when you can access it. They will make you pay for their mistake. I am writing an extensive complaint to BBB about this fraudulent website
