Entire trip booked together? Will your bags be transferred?

Yes, entire trip is booked together. Bags will be transferred. Just need to worry about us getting on the plane in time!

Yes, it can be done. Miami is a big busy airport. You will be rushed, but it is a legal connection and possible. All on one ticket by the airline. Your bags will make it, you hope. Just be prepared in case they do not.

You may have to change terminals for the next flight. Wear good shoes and be prepared to walk fast.

MIA is probably one of the worse airports in the USA. That said, you are on the safe side since all the legs are on the same ticket. But as mentioned above, be prepared to have your luggage coming with the next flight. And if you can't make the connection yourselves, then you'll spend the night at MIA (at the airline cost) before taking the next day flight (unless there is another flight combination).

If you miss your flight you will be put on the next AVAILABLE flight, that could be next flight, next days flight or one in several days time!

Any small delay could mean you will miss your connection.

Good luck hope you make it.

Thanks for all the input. I have other options with longer connection times and a higher price tag...that's the way I am leaning for peace of mind!

At the present time, I would say that nothing is safe on AA.

That's cutting it awfully close, as you normally have to present a passport at a counter to check in on an international flight. If you have to go into the terminal to do that and then back through security, you'll have a problem. Good luck and I hope your AA seats are firmly bolted to the floor!
