VS Partner Airlines

Am I correct in thinking that most (all?) of the VS partner airlines are Star Alliance?

If a big portion of the ownership of VS is now with Delta, is this likely to change?

I only ask, as I have quite a few VS miles and it would be useful to be able to spend them with some of the Skyteam airlines

Thanks. Very helpful.

I couldn't find anything about existing partners being retained or not (though this may be me being blind!)

Click on the question and the answer pops up (I can't be bothered doing a precise for you)

Skyteam info is down the bottom of the webpage under the heading "Skyteam":

Virgin Atlantic is evaluating potential entry to the SkyTeam alliance, of which Delta is a member. However, SkyTeam entry is not essential in order to realise the immediate and substantial benefits of the joint venture.

Under "our customers" you will find:

Yes, customers of both airlines will be able to acquire and redeem miles on both carriers. Full details will be announced as soon as possible.

Will the two merge their frequent flyer programs:

There are currently no plans to do this.

Thanks, I saw those.

What I couldn't find was whether existing VS partners will be retained or whether the partnerships will cease.
