Getting airmile credit on partner airlines

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but just double checking!

I have some miles on Alaska Airlines. I may soon go to England, using one of their partner airlines.

When I make my booking on (for example) KLM, do I enter my Alaska Air number and then it will automatically credit the amount of miles I fly to my Alaska account?

Yes, it should, but keep your boarding pass safe incase you need to prove you flew.

Hi,

Yes, you enter whatever specific program you want (and are eligible to be credited to) those miles to be credited to.

The other thing to make sure is that the partner airline (KLM) allows accrual for the fare basis you book.
