Delta Int'l @ JFK

We have an 8 am flight leaving JFK to Punta Cana next Friday. I was planning on getting their around 5-515 am. I can't imagine I need to be there earlier for that early a flight but I didn't know if JFK Was being disrupted by the sequester. Any advice would be appreciated.

Would think you should be ok with that plan - Delta recommend arriving at the airport 3 hrs before departure for international flights.

You should be fine arriving around 5am, here in ATL we give ourselves 2 hrs and have no problems but JFK may be more hectic.

I'd print the boarding passes in advance. You'll need to enter all passport info for each pax. You will have to verify your documents w/agent, either at arrivals or at gate. You can prepay to check bags inside or outside. Out might be better choice and worth the extra $. JFK TSA is always whacky. Be prepared to bin your stuff before you get to the conveyor. I used to get behind the few pax who had no clue what to do until that point. (must be a curse?) Enjoy sunny PUJ!
