Qantas A380

We are travelling LHR to DXB later in the year. We DH, DD, DS and myself all want to take our own headphones for the IFE, including two pairs of noise cancelling. We would like to know what type of socket there is for headphones in economy on a Qantas A380? Thanking you in advance.

You should research "best seats on Qantas A380".

For me it's finding the least uncomfortable seat on the long overnight sectors.

I don't mind the A380 ... the one really big problem for me as opposed to a 747 is the seat arms. The arms do not go all the way up meaning if you have the opportunity to lay down on spare seats it's VERY uncomfortable.

Stephen, we flew Hobart to Heathrow in May and are returning next week on the A380 and I like it....we did upgrade to exit row seats but I have previously flown in regular seas and find them better than some planes for space. (I'm tall and have long legs) only issue for me was the snack bar wasn't available when I wanted something but other than that, they fed us regularly and water came round frequently. IFE was great and kept me amused flrm24 hours!

we will be flying with Qantas A380 Mel - Lax, just wondering if attempt to manually seat block works?

i.e. if i preselect the middle seats D & F leaving E open then what are my chances of no one will be assigned to that seat?

It wouldn't make any difference to automatically allocated seating (ie. for seats automatically allocated at check in). People who pay for seat allocation in advance may avoid choosing a seat between 2 other people IF there are plenty of other seats to choose from.

If the plane is full, obviously someone will be allocated to that middle seat.

Lots of people do what you are planning.

What it means is that others - often family groups, who check in later, end up being separated and sitting in those seats. The days of planes flying with 70 or 80% capacity with lots of spare seats are long over

My friend.

One day when you are sitting 15 rows from your partner in a middle seat, remember its probably because someone else is doing just what you have done this time.

Umm - we fly a lot (19 separate flights in the last 2 months) and are never really bothered by what planes what airlines etc etc. Flew Emirates A380 Rome to Dubai this week. Just cant see what all the fuss is about. Its a plane. It flies. They serve you food and drinks . I didn't notice any extra leg room The only difference IMO was that the windows were bigger but since it was a night time flight that didn't matter much either. Who needs a snack bar when you are served 2 full meals on a 5 hour flight and as much booze as you want ?

The downside Is that with so many people flying it takes much longer to load.

Yep and pretty much every one of our 19 flights was full too.

Just keep the dual plug that is given away on any airline of the planet on any flights....usually is detachable....
