Look on skytrax or seat guru. The seats are all a much of a muchness. It will depend upon the aircraft flying that route.

That's the nature of economy.

How would you define 'best', and what would you like out of the seat?

If you're travelling on one of the BA non-stop flights to Vancouver, BA0085 or BA0087, these are currently operated by Boeing 747s, but BA does shuffle its equipment about between routes so this might change.

You could look BA 747s up as dcweymouth suggests.

You could also have been sold flights with BA flight numbers and a connection somewhere in the USA, in which case one or both parts of the journey will be on an American Airways plane. All depends on the flight numbers.

BA haven't flown anything but 747s to and from YVR for years. The very great majority of those flights are those with 52 seats in Club World, so World Traveller will start in row 28; if WT starts at row 33 it will be a 70-J plane.

It's a bit of a trek from the gate to International Arrivals at YVR, so if you don't want to be at the back of the queue at passport control, choose seats near the front of the cabin. If you want views of the north shore mountains on arrival* choose starboard seats, the HJK options.

*Usually, with the approach over the Fraser valley and westbound wheels down. If the approach is from the north, you'll still have good views of the Coast mountains from the HJK seats.
