9 until 2 is five hours. Oh well.

Five (or six) hours is tricky, it's a long time to spend in transit but not enough to get out of the airport and do anything worthwhile - you need a minimum of seven hours for that.

Hanging around the airport being fairly bored.

Bring books, perhaps entertainment such as tablet or music player, have a meal to pass the time. Maybe there is a pay for lounge you can go in (assuming you don't qualify for a free airline one?)

You don't say which terminal you'll be at, but if it's 2E, you might look for the Espace Musées Hall. They display a rotating program of art from some of the museums in Paris.

Also in 2E, look for the Luminotherapie pods. A fun way to relax when you have some time to waste.

If you are travelling on via S4 you will have plenty to keep you amused.

If any of the others, get a good book or some videos to watch.

Drinks and food can be expensive and don't expect fabulous wines I am afraid !

Nothing much you could do i'm afraid. I would buy some books and waste my time away and munch some snacks avail from lots of bistros and cafes.

There are 3 Paris airports according to Ryanair,Beauvais being the third.

I presume the OP is not inbound to Le bourget on a Gulfstream 5.

Pretty much the same at most airport hang abouts (if not in a lounge or pay for one if you want such as http://www.prioritypass.com/Lounges/Paris-Airport-Lounges.cfm)

... have a bite of overpriced food/drink, find a spot to sit and read/do some work/play on ipad etc....have a mouch around the newsagent/shops...sometimes time does pass quick if you keep yourself amused

. CDG airport is thats the one your what your using, is not the best for facilities, used it last time in Jan and found food and drink limited and very expensive, but you dont give info on which airport or terminal.
