Airtickets.com via skyscanner

Hi,

Has anyone used airtickets.com through skyscanner. We are getting a really good deal as compared to any other site. Just wanted any insight on their service.

Thanks :)

"We are getting a really good deal as compared to any other site. " - What you getting is an advert for a really good deal that might not be available when you try to book.

The consensus is to book direct with the airline even if it costs a bit more - booking with 3rd parties can lead to issues later if you need to contact them due to schedule changes or delays etc. You might save a little on the fare but pay for it in terms of post sales customer service.

just do a search in the search engine at the top of this page for many, many sad tales tales of woe and misery caused by booking with 3rd parties ..e.g .. www.togoodtobetrue.com www.incrediblycheapairfares.com etc, etc

just book directly with the airline - forget the 3rd parties

I concur with the above posts. Kudos to you for coming on here and asking before steaming headlong into a potential bucket of stress. Many don't.

The prices directly with the airlines are much higher than the ones quoted on the site :(

But they are the real prices not merely ones that have been charged in the past.

Can't find any record of them residing at 152 City Road which is supposed to be their head office and no record of them with ABTA or ATOL suggest your check them out using the IATA ref before proceeding any further

"The prices directly with the airlines are much higher than the ones quoted on the site" - Some 3rd party websites seem to offer low prices, take the booking as well as the money only to contact you some days later to advise that the price is no longer available but they can get it for an extra £££, it's a classic bait and switch and the final price could even be higher than booking direct with the airline.

If you decide you want to cancel then you'll get a refund eventually.
