US DOT Airline "Scorecard" October report issued

Hi,

As information.. The October issued of the DOT's Airline Scorecard is out..

This report covers data from August calendar period

dot.gov/airconsumer/october-2013-air-travel-…

A few notables...

1) On-Time Arrival performance (P.4). Again it's Hawai'an Airlines

However, the *average* among the 15 largest (which is the airlines that are covered under this report) for the period was 78.8

... and... ALL the majors -- AA, DL, UA exceeded this rate.. Only WN among the national large carriers missed this mark..

2) Cancellations (P. 31) Average for the period was 1.00... Best in class was a 5-way tie among B6, VX, F9, DL AND HA...

... and among the majors - both UA and DL bettered this score.. AA missed it by 0.10 coming in a 1.10

3) Baggage (P. 41)... Average was 3.12 reports of irregularities -- which includes ALL baggage issues including delayed, lost and damaged -- per 1,000 passengers carried.. Best in class here was VX... and for the majors, AA, DL, and UA, they all met or bettered the average..

Travel Safe,
