Cathay Pacific seating policy?

I will be flying on CX889 in July from Vancouver to Hong Kong. My dad has booked himself in an emergency exit row seat in the rear economy cabin, and I am in a window seat in the forward economy cabin. According to Cathay Pacific, I'm considered an "adult" on CX's website at 13 years old, but I wanted to confirm that I could sit separately from my dad. Can anybody confirm this for me? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ethan,

After reading cathays website on unaccomapnied minors (UMs) it does appear that you can sit seperately.

Though you will get advice on this forum, remember it is only advice. If you still have doubts, I suggest that you contact Cathay Pacific.

Cheers.

Ethan,

Based on your posting history, dealing with travel agents yourself, etc, are you sure you're only thirteen?
