Wish list for air travel 2014....;)

…..Helpful check in staff who look at you and smile whilst checking you in, getting from A-B safe and sound without any delays due to weather/industrial action/no shows, no changes of flight times or planes and loosing my preferred seats.

Helpful friendly engaging cabin crew, edible food, seat mates who have showered, no screaming kids or seat kickback tantrums or armrest hoggers who will keep their shoes on or at least socks and not have bare feet.

No snorers, sniffers or talkers/drunks or people who bring everything but the kitchen sink on as hand luggage and stuff the lockers full. No passengers who use the toilet facilities with no-one else but themselves in mind

No ‘q’s at immigration with all booths open, no misplaced/damaged luggage and no stops by customs.

Ah well we can dream …

Oh and no soggy toast.

Merry Christmas to all on the Air Travel forum!

No seatmates whose primary sustenance is apparently limited to raw garlic washed down with barrels of wine. Although after my last few flights, I would say this wish is unlikely to be realized!

"You forgot downgrades."

*Sigh* I fly economy, not much chance of a downgrade, I suppose they could always move me to the wing... :)

A wish for no more feet, whether shod or naked, to be placed on bulkheads or walls. Another wish for those who disregard the polite request to 'please give cabin crew your full attention during the safety briefing' to put down their magazines, books and phones, to stop talking and pay attention.

Hoping for a few fare sales and perhaps a birthday present of some Avios and Aeroplan points, ex gratia and ever so nice.

More than that, though, safe travels to all in the new year.

Wow. This would usher in a new golden age of air travel. :)

Lemme see, I guess you left out...

-no broken/defective in flight entertainment controllers for long haul flights :) (For those of us who'd rather conserve our gadget's battery supply)

-non-expiring FF points for average Joes like me who only fly 1-3 times a year at their own expense (better make that "unfrequent flyer points" then) LOL.

---LOL! I thought you were going to say downgrade from economy to the cargo hold, but imaging getting bumped to the "fresh air" section :D

All I want for Xmas is a Business Class seat!

And the same for all of you.

Happy holidays and safe travels to all. 🎄
