Manchester – Barbados Thomas Cook Flight

Manchester – Barbados Thomas Cook Flight

Hi just a few quick questions. Has anyone flown on this flight and if so what were your opinions. I am travelling just me and a toddler in economy so just trying to plan in advance. Is the seat configuration 2.4.2 with seat back TVs where you can pause the action? I have meals included on the flight but what where they like as my boy can be a little fussy.

Would really love to hear from anybody that has taken pre-school children on this flight in particular as he is well behaved but always conscious of fellow travellers.

Thanks in advance

If you little boy is a fussy eater I would take some of your own food for him. Airline food is generally pretty dire IMHO, so take some for yourself too!!!

The seating plan varies, depending on what date you're travelling. Both configurations, either 3-3-3 or 2-4-2, have seatback IFE.

If your child is fussy I would always take something on board for him.

As well as the good advice about taking food on board for your son, I'd also think about taking an I-pad or similar loaded up with children's shows from BBC Player. The TC inflight films and television selection will be fairly limited, especially for the younger audience.

I am also after some information on this flight

Looking to go for new year and the price is half what virgin are asking for.

Used the virgin flight manchester to barbados a few times but we are a family of 4 and the thomascook flight is about £3000 cheaper.

I know we have to go via Tobago and pay for are drinks but it is such a big saving.

Never flown long haul with thomascook before so just want some advice about the plane and seating?

What advice are you looking for? Seating configuration will be 3-3-3 in economy, with seatback IFE. If you pay to reserve seats you can log into your booking and select your seat numbers from the seating plan.

I've flown long-haul on the TC A330 with seating config 3-3-3 and found it pretty comfortable (but that's in comparison with Monarch's similar plane).

Leg room was pretty good in economy.

@ the OP

I don't think you can pause the films, they are on a loop with every film ending at a different time and after the longest film has finished, they restart the whole program so I can't see how you could pause it.

I might be wrong on that though.

Your right Polly. No on demand facility on TCs 3-3-3 configured A330s.

From reply #2:

<<The seating plan varies, depending on what date you're travelling. Both configurations, either 3-3-3 or 2-4-2>>

so, yes, it sounds like it could be either configuration.

If you state travelling dates someone may be able to confirm which config.
