TAP Portugal e-ticket

I booked a flight on-line with TAP Portugal and the process went without a hitch. The payment went through and is already recorded as successful by my credit card company.

After the booking was completed I received an email booking confirmation from TAP with all the details of my reservation - including a booking reference number, my ticket number, the flight information, a summary of my charges and a list of conditions for this booking.

My question is does this constitute my e-ticket? Is this what I print and take with me to the check-in counter on the day of travel? I'm just asking because, with other airlines, when these kinds of details are included just in the body of a confirmation email, there is a PDF attached which is my actual e-ticket.

Should I contact TAP and chase up an e-ticket, or is what I have received already it?

Thanks so much for any help with this one.

This is possibly all you will get, however just log on to their website and check your booking on the 'manage my booking' or equivalent. If it is there (and it should be) that's all you need.

I have never gotten a pdf ticket for an airline flight!

The e-mail gives you your reservation locator number(pnr) and all you need to do usually is to check in on line 24 hrs. before your flight or use the number at the airport to check in.

You don't need to print out the e-mail . You just need the number.

You don't even really need the PNR. Usually I either check in online using my frequent flier account or show up at the check in desk and just give them my ID. Typically that's enough.

What difference does it make what caused the delay? No doubt they told you to go away due to the language you used. They probably didn't know but you badgered them.

But I must go to Australia again someday, where the people are charming and well mannered and no airport ever has flight delays ever. Sounds like a paradise.

Welcome to the forum

I'n sure an outpouring of compassion and sympathy shall be along shortly, however as i have no personal experience of TAP it would be unjust to comment on service.

I will of course take note of your displeasure

What are the penalty charges for changing a TAP ticket one way to Funchal to a day later?

You should have started your own thread. No one here knows the terms and conditions associated with your ticket. You'll probably pay the change fee and the difference in price, from the old ticket to the new. You can call TAP and ask them.
