Handicap Assistance Question

I am flying from DTW to MCO on Delta. I purchased a first class ticket. I have difficulty walking due to a bad accident That I was involved in last year. I also require a special seat cushion due to pelvic pain. I have requested assistance getting to the gate at the time that I purchased my ticket. My questions are, how early should I arrive before my flight? Does the request for assistance to and from the gates usually work well? And will they allow me to take a special seat pad onto the plane to make my seating more comfortable? Thank you in advance.

1. Re: Handicap Assistance Question

Arrive at the normal time, you will usually be the first to board and the last to disembark in your class,no problem with the seat cushion provided it passes the security checks like everything else, have had to use special assistance once myself at DTW and they were top knotch and you will be met at the plane and assisted on arrival
