Malaysian Airlines web booking site

Hi

I have been having a problem with the MA site over the last week or so.

I insert my dates for flying (Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur) depart 1 September and return 22 October.

It shows each leg at around $548 but flights on every other day surrounding that date at $344. When however you click on any of the other dates the $344 flight "disappears" and you are left only with the $548 fare.

The same thing happens if you change the route and insert say Sydney to KL return.

Extremely frustrating

any ideas?

Many thanks

Same price shows for other dates if you use Skyscanner.net

There's a simple but frustrating reason ... when you are looking at the lower prices they are displayed tax/surcharge free. The moment you click on the flight you want the surcharges and taxes are added on ... you can see the breakdown on the chart at the lower left of the page, unfortunately they are not required to display the cost as a total as Australian airlines are.

Thanks for the replies

After looking at it closely the site appears to have removed the MH Basic fare from its options and left only the MH Smart and MH Flexi fares.

The strange thing is that the low fares (including taxes etc) were all available last week and then they disappeared.

O well ..off to Air Asia where the return fare is around half that of MA including add ons. The MA flight was offering a better overalll flying time to Penang but it not worth that much to avoid a few hours in transit.

cheers
