Charles de Gaulle Airport - Time Allowances

Hi there!

I have a 12pm flight from Paris to Sydney on Friday 5th September.

I will actually be staying with friends in London in the last leg of my trip so wondering if it will be pushing my luck to fly London to Paris the morning of my Paris to Sydney flight.

I guess my question is: how much time do I need to allow from landing in Paris (CDG) and checking in to my Paris (CDG) to Sydney flight.

I am thinking of flying Air France London to Paris and the Paris to Sydney flight is with Malaysian Airlines

Thanks in advance!

I would allow minimum 3 hours - even more if you are on separate tickets.

Wow really that much time? Would that be because I am likely to be landing in a different terminal?

Seperate tickets, I would give it at least five hours.

CDg is no joy, and if your plane from London is delayed, you risk losing your ticket to Sydney.

Why don't you just get the Eurostar? That's much less prone to sudden delays.

100% with froggy.

Separate tickets, I too would allow 5hrs.

I agree 5hrs. CDG can be a nightmare. It can take 45 minutes from touch down to being in a terminal building if you get bused from your inbound flight.

I would be more worried about delays/cancellations. What are you going to do if your flight goes tech and the next avaliable flight is 4 or 5 hours later? Fortunately it doesn't happen often but it does happen. Whether you're willing to take that risk is entirely up you, different people will be more or less risk-aversive. Personally I would fly out the day before (and not on the last flight of the day either) if I was connecting at noon to a longhaul flight.

I would definitely come in the night before, much too risky otherwise.
