Airline Scheduling

I assume every airline must employ people to manage the airline schedules, book landing slots etc, but what is the job title of these people?

Not really intended to be, but a lot of the work will be computerized, no? And the actual schedules must be the sum total of the work of a LOT of different experts who have to make a LOT of decisions.

Hi,

Network Planning and Fleet Deployment are two common ones..

There is no one fixed title for this position or department -- only a few positions like "weight and balance" and "line maintenance" are or have nearly universal titles.

None of us work for the airlines. Maybe Gobpi can come along and answer. We answer questions on here as frequent flyers, so from a pax perspective, not from the point of someone embedded in the airlines operations.

Why do you want to know and why do you think people should know all the job titles the different airlines use internally? It's really random.
