Virgin Air Miles

Hi - I managed to accumulate just under 4500 miles on Virgin and these I believe are due to expire in August this year. What are my options to stop me losing my miles and do I have enough miles to use on any flights in the future?

Thanks

4500 miles is really very low. There is not really anything you can buy with just that. Not even a chauffer service, You could put them towards a flight and use cash for the balance, you could also transfer them to another points/miles club you use or you could gift them to someone, that's about it really.

Or you can get a Virgin Amex card.

Every time you spend you get more points & the expiry date moves forward as well:-)

Buy something through their online shopping portal - the miles credited will count as earned miles and reset the clock....

Don't bother, I have >120k airmiles with them, plus a "free" upgrade to PE, but I can't get a return flight anywhere within a 3 week window in October.....

I will be cancelling my Amex card,,,,

Seems a little drastic, just because you can't get an upgrade in a 3 week window ........lol.....

So will you be letting your AirMiles lapse?

I know it maybe not be the best system, but plenty of folk have had upgrades/free flights, etc.

The "rewards" do appear limited, but are available. I personally am just letting my AirMiles accrue, so in the future, when were not limited to when we can fly, we (hopefully) will get to use them:-):-)

No reason what so ever to cancel my Amex card, as I need a card to use anyway, so it's no hardship;-);-);-)
